FMGE (Screening Test)
The Licensure Exam for Foreign Medical Graduates
The Foreign Medical Graduate Examination (FMGE), also known as the MCI Screening Test, is a licensure examination conducted by the National Board of Examinations (NBEMS). It is mandatory for Indian citizens and OCI cardholders who have completed their medical education abroad to practice medicine in India. Unlike NEET PG, this is a qualifying exam, not a competitive one.
